The McLean Partnership were mandated by a US listed company in electrical & electronics industry to search for an APAC HRD. Client counterparties included a Global HRVP based out of the US and Global Business President based out of Hong Kong.
We were asked to search for strong HRD candidates with years of experience working for famous multinational companies in relevant industries, e.g., electrical, electronics, automotive, semiconductor etc. As there are a limited amount of multinational industrial companies having sizable business in Hong Kong, we conducted a thorough search to not just include candidates who are currently with those target companies, but also ones who were previously engaged in the relevant sectors. Altogether, we approached 103 candidates and shortlisted 6 of them.
Outcome: From the submitted shortlist and subsequent panel interviews, 3 candidates were taken through to a final stage assessment, one of which was eventually successfully appointed as the APAC HRD.
