The McLean Partnership was engaged by the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Resourcing for a leading specialist global asset manager with over $750m+ assets under management. This came after recruitment processes with other firms failed to identify a sufficient candidate with the necessary gravitas to operate (and influence) at Board level.
Mclean were asked to search the UK for an individual to join the business, able to advise & guide the executive leadership on information security with an emphasis on cyber security. They would then lead on developing strategy and implementing change across the organisation. In this active and highly competitive market, the client was keen to explore ideas and thinking outside of financial services.
McLean led a strong campaign combining specific industry placed adverts, direct approaches and leveraging from our network of industry contacts. Engaging with a broad field of talent from complimentary sectors, a shortlist of diverse candidates were identified. This, at a time when the cyber security industry was hugely challenged and experts in high demand due to the geo-political landscape.
Outcome: Following the successful shortlisting of six candidates, a new Cyber and InfoSec Leader was appointed into the organisation and, given the calibre of the individual identified, the role had a more expansive remit.
