The McLean Partnership were engaged by the Chairman and HR Director of a government funded industry research body. This came after two unsuccessful recruitment processes with other firms in the preceding twelve months.
We were asked to look both in the UK and Internationally for someone to lead a relatively embryonic organisation which has close links to government and works with multiple stakeholders across industry, academia and other representative bodies. With this in mind, the client was keen to see a diverse range of candidates, acknowledging there was not an obvious competitor in the market. A shortlist of high calibre individuals from different backgrounds would help shape their thinking on the direction of the organisation. McLean led a strong campaign combining specific industry placed adverts, direct approaches and leveraging from our extensive industry contacts.
Outcome: Following the successful shortlisting of five high calibre candidates a new CEO was appointed into the organisation and The McLean Partnership continues to work with the Chairman and HR Director in relation to requirements across their other portfolio interests.
